Services for John

Posted on | April 27, 2009 | No Comments

Kelly, William and I want to thank everyone who has so generously loved us for not just the last day or so, but for the last seven months. And we are certain there will plenty of more love to be thankful for as the days pass. I guess we won’t know just how much impact John has had on the lives of others until we go to join him, but we are learning more and more about it. There will be much more to say and write as well in the future, but at the moment we just want to let everyone know the details about the service for John.

Visitation
Tuesday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home
3125 North Lamar
Austin, TX 78705
(512) 452-8811
 Funeral Service
Wednesday 10:30 a.m.
Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd
2206 Exposition Blvd
Austin, TX 78703
(512) 476-4393

Following the service at Good Shepherd, there will be a grave side service. Then we will all return to Good Shepherd for a luncheon/reception in the parish hall. We’d be pleased for anyone who can make it to join us at the visitation, services, and the reception.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Joni and Friends International Disability Center. Joni and Friends has been dedicated to extending the love and message of Christ to people who are affected by disability, whether it is the disabled person, a family member, or friend. Their objective is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of this group of people in practical ways.
